Following on from the PrintNightmare issue identified with Windows recently, Microsoft have released a new update to fix some outstanding vulnerabilities. While this update fixes the issue, it can cause another issue with remote printing between a Client and Server machine on different patches. This has mainly been seen with printing via UNC paths but seems to also be a problem with printers shared via a print server. 

So far we have received reports involving:

• KB5005627
• KB5005030

Potential fixes

Potential fixes are to update all client and server machines to the latest KB number or remove the affected updates from the server or client.
