The Package for Lasernet Connector exists for Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations PU49, PU50 and PU51. It is not required to install a new package when upgrading Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations - Similarly to when the Lasernet FO Connector package for PU49 was installed and upgrading Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations to either PU50 or PU51 - The original installed package for PU49 would work after the upgrade.
The recommendation from Microsoft is to use a lsv/LAC-package matching the same build or PU as this could lower the memory usage. However, all three Lasernet FO Connector packages contain the same code and will work across versions.
Deployments or Installations of Lasernet FO Connector packages are forward compatible and therefore it is not possible to deploy or install a Lasernet FO Connector package for PU51 when using Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations PU49 or PU50.
