PDF is a standard for encoding documents in a printable format that is portable between systems and is widely used for email distribution and archiving documents. The PDF module can convert EMF data to PDF format. Paper size and orientation will automatically be created by scanning the paper formats included in the EMF data.

PDF/A is a PDF format typically used for the long-term archiving of electronic documents.

PDF documents created by the PDF module are generated as:

• PDF version 1.4 and PDF/A-1b (ISO 19005-1 Level B)

Fonts and colour profiles will be embedded in the PDF file.
