1. A fully featured REST API provides complete access to DM functionality and features. This way, system integrators can build custom solutions to suit their needs or plug in existing solutions seamlessly.
Java and TypeScript-based SDKs are available to speed up the setup process and provide examples of how to perform common activities.
2. Autoform DM runs on a combination of Java and the Wildfly Application Server to deliver performant, reliable run-time services. Both of these are included in Autoform DM to ensure easy deployment.
3. The Configuration Import/Export feature allows users to export system configurations from one system and import them to another, enabling easy, reliable changes across discrete environments. For more detail on this topic, visit our Configuration Management page.
4. Autoform DM requires an external database in which system configuration, document metadata, and application audits are stored.
5. Document file data is stored externally in a storage location of your choice, which can range from a local disk to cloud storage (such as Azure Blob Storage).
6. Search and import applications are key features providing users with a seamless, rich browser-based experience. This way, existing documents can be located and viewed, while new documents can be imported with both files and metadata. These applications can also be run via the REST API for system-to-system integration.
7. Autoform DM provides several authentication methods ranging from 'local users' to full SSO integration. Full support and guidance are provided when utilizing an external user identity directory, allowing customers to integrate with existing authentication infrastructure.
8. Users can interact with DM in several ways. The first option is a Web UI which provides full access to DM features, allowing users to run applications to retrieve existing documents or upload new ones. The Web UI also provides system maintainers full control over the system configuration.
The second option is the Remote Search and Import which allows to effortlessly integrate Autoform DM Search and Import applications into existing customer systems.
Finally, a REST API allows users to build custom solutions and expose data housed within DM to external systems.
