Error Message: "Root element is missing"

This article provides a solution for the following error message which may appear in AX 2012:

Root element is missing.

Follow these steps to resolve the error:

1. Navigate to the report in Lasernet > Reports.

2. Select the affected report and, on the action pane, click on Stylesheet and then Refresh.

3. Try to print the report through Lasernet again.
